Support service for out-of-school youth system programs

Description:
This service maximizes partnerships among local agencies that train youth, ensuring that out-of-school youth engaged in all WorkReady Philadelphia program models are connected to jobs or other post-secondary placement options whenever possible. As part of the service, participating youth engage in activities that assess barriers to and needs surrounding placement, confirm whether youth are skill-ready, and identify pathways to secure optimal placement. Recipients of job placement services are expected to achieve the following outcomes:

Post-secondary placement

During Program Year 2011-2012:
84 youth received services via this program; of those, 62% were successfully placed in long-term employment or post-secondary education.

Youth Eligibility	Ages 17 to 24 Successfully completed a WIA-funded program for out-of-school youth or the employment pathway at an E3 Center
