Placement Assistant (Temporary)

The Placement Assistant is responsible for the adherence of PYN policies, process, and procedures to ensure the validity and reliability of data, review enrollment paperwork, and enter data into PYN’s client tracking systems. The Placement Assistant is also responsible for analyzing and reporting performance regarding enrollment. This position requires a flexible schedule, light travel, and work outside of the PYN office.

Desktop Support Assistant (Temporary)

The Desktop Support Assistant’s role is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all laptops, desktops, and associated equipment, to ensure optimal workstation performance. The assistant will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.

Quality Assurance Supervisor (Temporary)

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is part of a seasonal team designed to support the implementation of summer employment programming on behalf of WorkReady Philadelphia. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is the lead coordinator for Summer Programming operations around youth and worksite files, securing the safety of personal identifying information, and preparing the systems for program implementation, and working closely with PYN full-time staff to support day-to-day summer program implementation for upwards of 8,000 young people between April and August.

Customer Service Specialist (Temporary)

The Customer Service Specialist is part of a seasonal team designed to support the implementation of PYN’s summer program on behalf of WorkReady. The Customer Service Specialist will primarily be responsible for the management of the youth hotline and email system to provide customer support to those interested in connecting to and participating in Summer 2018 Programming. In addition, the Customer Service Specialist will work collaboratively with the Program Operations team to share accurate and consistent messaging related to WorkReady and PYN. The Customer Service Specialist will also assist with in-person inquiries as needed.

Business Partnership Manager

The Business Partnerships Manager (BPM) will build and maintain relationships with partners locally, regionally and nationally to expand career-connected education opportunities for Philadelphia’s youth and young adults. The BPM will work closely with the Director, Partnerships for Employment Pathways and other members of the department to increase employer investment and participation in City-wide summer and year-round and career exposure initiatives as well as the visibility of PYN within the business community.

Events Specialist (Temporary)

The Events Specialist works to execute PYN’s communications and outreach strategies and position the organization locally, regionally and nationally. The Events Specialist will primarily be responsible for planning and implementing large-scale events related to summer jobs in 2019. This role is also responsible for enhancing both internal and external communication initiatives, introducing new solutions to increase efficiency of communication, and serving as a self-motivated and fully-integrated member of the Communications team. Data Intern (Temporary)

The Data Intern joins the Program Learning and Development (PLD) team at PYN to support the expanding data needs of the organization. Overall, the individual will work closely with the PLD team to analyze data related to our internal programs and collaborative projects. We are working in partnership with the Aspen Institute and the United Way to examine our data with a focus on racial equity. The Data Intern with support both of those grant funded projects. Additionally, the Data Intern will support the Program Evaluation Analyst in the cleaning and analyzing of data related to internal programs.

The Program Quality Coach is part of a seasonal team designed to ensure that summer employment programming on behalf of WorkReady is implemented with fidelity to our program models. Coaches will prepare, coach and support providers to provide high quality work readiness experiences for youth. This position begins with part-time work in April then becomes full-time in June and runs through August. This position requires a flexible schedule, the ability to work some evenings and weekends, and frequent travel throughout Philadelphia.

Data Specialist (Temporary)

The data specialist will play a critical function in supporting data-informed decision-making, specifically for PYN’s Summer Program on behalf of WorkReady Philadelphia. This person will develop tools, reports, and visualizations which easily translate PYN’s wealth of data into insights for program staff. This includes extra data from multiple internal sources; cleaning, merging, and wrangling the data; working with the PLD team to conduct exploratory analysis; and, developing and maintaining tools which are used regularly by staff. This process requires not only ability to glean insights from data but also work with stakeholders to understand questions of interest and the ways in which data can be inserted into these processes.

Evaluation Specialist (Temporary)

The Evaluation Specialist is a member of the Program Learning and Development Department and primarily responsible for the successful implementation of the WorkReady Summer evaluation. In Summer 2017, PYN partnered with researchers from the University of Pennsylvania and J-PAL (out of MIT) to study the long-term impact of participation in a summer job. This rigorous evaluation includes a partial lottery system for determining who is placed in a job.

Program Quality Coach Coordinator (Temporary)

The Summer Program Quality Coach Coordinator (SPCC) leads a seasonal team designed to ensure that summer employment programming on behalf of WorkReady is implemented with fidelity to our program models.  The Coordinator will work with the Manager, Program Learning and Development to design the summer coaching plan. This will include scheduling, learning plan development, workshops and training and supervision of Summer Program Coaches. The SPCC will own the administrative and programmatic aspects for the seasonal team. He/She will ensure that his/her staff is prepared to support 60+ contractors to provide high quality work readiness experiences for youth. This position begins with part-time work in April then becomes full-time in June and runs through August. This position requires a flexible schedule, the ability to work some evenings and weekends, and frequent travel throughout Philadelphia.

Case Manager, Career Bridging

The Case Manager is an essential role in the development of youth services for a new PYN pilot program, Career Bridging, funded via Philadelphia Works’ Employment Connections for Opportunity Youth grant, serving youth and young adults who are transitioning out of the School District of Philadelphia’s Career Technical Education (CTE) Healthcare related programs.  The Career Bridging program will serve 55 young people over the course of 18 months.
