TGR Foundation - Community Relations Internship
As a PYN summer intern with TGR Foundation, you will support the Community Outreach team by focusing on promoting programs and events through social media and community engagement.
Your responsibilities will include capturing photos and videos at events and school activities, uploading and organizing content, and assisting in creating engaging posts that highlight the Foundation's impact.
You’ll also help design and coordinate outreach events and workshops, ensuring they are effectively shared with our audience. By gathering feedback from students, parents, and community members through focus groups and surveys, you’ll help align our programs with community needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in social media content creation, event coordination, and community engagement while supporting the TGR Foundation's mission to empower students and families.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Social Media Content Creation:
Capture photos and videos at events, workshops, and school activities to highlight the Foundation's impact.
Upload, organize, and assist in creating engaging posts for social media platforms.
Event Support + Community Engagement
Assist in the design and coordination of outreach events, workshops, and presentations.
Support event logistics, including setup, registration, and documentation.
Help collect data and feedback through focus groups, surveys, and other methods to understand community needs and program impact.
Assist in registering students and families by collecting information and recording it in the Foundation's database.
Media Management:
Organize and maintain a library of photos and videos for future use.
Upload visual content to appropriate platforms for sharing or storage.
Skills and Qualifications
Basic photography and videography skills, with an eye for capturing engaging content.
Strong organizational skills to manage data, media, and event logistics.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and content creation tools.
Basic knowledge of photo and video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, iMovie).
Experience with data entry and management.
