ESF Dream Camp
ESF Dream Camp seeks 11 interns to support its dynamic summer programs in the roles of Mini/Day Camp Junior Counselors, SportsLab Junior Counselors, and Support Staff. These positions provide hands-on experience in youth development, leadership, and camp operations. Mini/Day Camp Junior Counselors will assist in supervising young campers, organizing recreational and educational activities, and fostering a positive and engaging environment. SportsLab Junior Counselors will work closely with coaches to manage and lead sports-based activities, ensuring safety, teamwork, and skill development. Support Staff will play a vital role in camp logistics, with opportunities as Activity Assistants, Pool Assistants, and Logistics Assistants, helping prepare materials, track camper progress, manage meals, and ensure smooth daily operations. All interns will serve as positive role models, contributing to a fun, structured, and enriching summer experience for campers.
Responsibilities Include:
Mini/Day Camp Junior Counselor
Assist counselors in supervising and engaging young campers
Help organize and lead recreational and educational activities
Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers
Provide support during mealtimes and daily transitions
Serve as a positive role model, encouraging teamwork and cooperation
SportsLab Junior Counselor
Assist coaches in managing and supervising young campers
Support the organization and facilitation of sports-related activities
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill-building among campers
Ensure a safe and engaging environment for all participants
Help with mealtimes and transitions throughout the day
Support Staff / Activity Assistant:
Prepare materials and supplies needed for daily activities
Assist campers who need additional support or encouragement
Promote active participation and positive behavior among campers
Relay information between Specialists, Directors, and Office Staff
Help clean up and organize activity spaces at the end of each session
Pool Assistant:
Track camper swimming progress and document achievements
Manage progress reports and certificates for swimmers
Work with swim instructors to ensure a structured and supportive swim experience
These internships offer a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leadership, youth engagement, and camp operations while making a meaningful impact on young campers’ summer experience.
