iHeartMedia - Radio Broadcasting Internship

The iHeartMedia Radio Broadcastin Internship is tailored for high school and college students, providing a comprehensive glimpse into the dynamic world of broadcasting and digital operations at iHeartMedia Philadelphia. 

This program is designed to offer hands-on experiences, foster career exploration, facilitate networking with industry professionals, deepen knowledge of broadcasting, and infuse learning with an element of enjoyment.  Interns enrolled in this program have the flexibility to rotate through various departments such as Programming, News & Community Affairs, Production, Media Integration, Online/Web Development, Digital Video, Digital Design, and Sales. Alternatively, they can opt for a focused experience within a specific department based on their interests and career aspirations.  

During the internship, participants may have the opportunity to acquire fundamental audio production skills, potentially taking part in developing, conducting, and producing an interview segment that could be aired on radio platforms. This experiential learning approach aims to equip interns with practical skills, industry insights, and a deeper appreciation for the multifaceted aspects of broadcasting and digital media.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Shadowing and assisting professionals in various departments such as Programming, Production, and Sales

• Conducting research and gathering data to support content creation and marketing initiatives 

• Assisting in the production of audio and digital media content Contributing to social media management and digital marketing campaigns 

• Participating in brainstorming sessions for creative projects and initiatives 

• Attending industry events, meetings, and workshops to expand knowledge and network 

• Collaborating with team members on special projects and initiatives tailored to interns' interests and skills
