INGITE Summer Camp

Philadelphia Youth Network is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Program Intern for our Newly Specialized Afterschool Enrichment Program through the School District of Philadelphia. 


The Program Intern will be responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of youth activities for middle schoolers under the direction of the Program Director and mainly assisting the Program Instructors at the school site. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about youth development, education, and creating fun, engaging experiences. 


Interns will play a key role in assisting with project-based learning activities, including STEM, arts, literacy, and career exploration, while supporting middle school students in an afterschool enrichment program. Under the guidance of the Program Director and Program Instructors, interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in youth mentorship, activity planning, and classroom facilitation.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Assist in Project-Based Learning activities focused on STEM, literacy, career exploration, and social-emotional learning

  • Encourage creativity and engagement through hands-on STEM, arts, and sports projects

  • Support students in career awareness and exploration activities

  • Help implement enrichment programming after the school day until 5:30 PM

  • Work closely with Program Instructors to facilitate youth development experiences

  • Provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment for students

Hours + Location:


  • Tuesday & Thursday, 1-2 hours a day, 5 hours a week (dependent on your schedule! 

  • Program runs from 3:15 pm to 5:15 pm but you will be scheduled dependent on your schedule.

  • Location: Program Intern will be stationed at Alexander Adaire Elementary School. 1300 E. Palmer Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125.
