Philadelphia - On Friday, April 27, Mayor Michael A. Nutter announced that GlaxoSmithKline and The Philadelphia Foundation donated $1 million to youth employment programming in Philadelphia. The grant will support WorkReady Summer 2012 programs and launch a bio-medical program as a part of the WorkReady Industry Pipeline model. In total, the grant will fund 515 summer and year-round WorkReady opportunities for Philadelphia youth.
